North Melbourne and Alastair Clarkson have parted ways after four seasons together, even with one year remaining on his deal.
Clarkson returned to Arden Street ahead of 2023, and coached the club on 82 occasions for 20 wins.
Surprisingly, the Kangaroos rose from consecutive three-win seasons to nine this year, and were closing in on a Wildcard Round slot, but fell short.
Here are 13 names who could be a part of the North Melbourne conversation...
Interestingly, a lot of these names were part of the Carlton and Essendon coaching process.
Simon Goodwin
The Melbourne premiership coach has stated his intention to return to the hot seat.
After he left the Demons last year, Goodwin took up an assistant role at Sydney alongside Dean Cox.
The former Crow takes care of the Swans' ball movement and forward structure, which can be seen given the club is one of the stronger scoring sides in the competition.
Goodwin coached Melbourne for nine seasons and 202 games.
