St Kilda midfielder Jack Carroll has not received a contract extension for 2027 and beyond.

The 23-year-old played 12 games for the Saints this season before being dropped to the VFL for the remainder of the year.

Saints general manager of football Lenny Hayes said deciding whether or not to let go of Carroll was a hard choice for the club.

“Decisions such as these are always tough to make at this time of year," Hayes said.

“We thank Jack for his contribution to the club and wish him all the best for the future.”

Carroll averaged 15.4 disposals and 6.1 marks per game in 2026, while also averaging 26 disposals per match in the VFL.

The 188cm defender-midfielder played 15 games for St Kilda during his two years at the club.

Carroll was originally drafted out of WAFL club East Fremantle with Pick 41 in the 2020 National Draft to Carlton.

He spent four seasons on the Blues' list playing 21 games before moving to the Saints as a delisted free agent at the end of 2024.

Where Carroll's future lies and whether it is at AFL, state league or local football level is not yet clear.
