Ahead of their 18th and 15th AFL seasons, Scott Pendlebury and Steele Sidebottom have both been honoured with Life Membership Awards at the club's Annual General Meeting.

Retiring Director and former club president Mark Korda has also been awarded with life membership, while a Special Services Award was presented to Dr. Helen Szoke AO who was acknowledged for her work as Co-Chair of the club's Expert Advisory Group following the Do Better Report.

Pendlebury has played 358 games for the Pies, 206 as captain, both a club record, and his admission into the exclusive cohort comes days after announcing he's stepping down from captaincy.

Collingwood President Jeff Browne congratulated the pair and thanked them for their contributions to the club.

"On behalf of the Collingwood Football Club, I congratulate Scott Pendlebury and Steele Sidebottom on receiving Life Membership and thank them for their continued service to our Club,” Browne said at the AGM.

"In 2010 Scott, Steele and their teammates created history and gave Collingwood Members and supporters a special moment that we will forever cherish – an AFL Premiership.

"As we have seen this year, special moments continue to be created and we look forward to achieving more success with both players at Collingwood.

"Life Membership is our Club's highest honour – Scott and Steele, as Premiership players, deserve this recognition and we sincerely thank them for their contribution to Collingwood over a sustained period which has forever enriched the story of our Club."

The departing Mark Korda has served the club 15 years as Director, Vice-President and as President following the departure of Eddie McGuire in 2021.

Dr. Helen Szoke AO has been a long-time supporter of the Magpies and was instrumental in the work following the Do Better Report.

The club also announced that Paul Tuddenham was elected to fill the remaining vacancy on the Collingwood Board.

Tuddenham is the current President of the Collingwood Football Club Past Players and played 40 games for the Magpies between 1987 – 1991.

His father Des, a member of the Australian Football Hall of Fame, was a captain of the club and is the ruck rover in the Collingwood Team of the Century.
