With Round 13 done and dusted, it's time to recall the performances over the weekend to see who has moved up in our MVP race.

Demon Christian Petracca currently holds the crown over new Tigers recruit Tim Taranto and Port star Zak Butters, with Bulldogs skipper Marcus Bontempelli, Collingwood star Nick Daicos and Adelaide captain Jordan Dawson all in hot pursuit.

Sydney Swans vs St Kilda

Round 12 kicked off with a Thursday night thriller that had the Saints prevail by 14 points at the SCG.

Rowan Marshall had a stellar night in the ruck with a whopping 50 hitouts and 16 disposals followed by a brilliant performance from Brad Crouch who had 33 disposals and eight tackles. Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera also had a dominant day with 30 disposals and a goal. Jack Sinclair had 32 disposals and seven clearances, while Mitch Owens had two goals and 21 disposals.

It wasn't all doom for the Swans however, with a strong performance from Oliver Florent, who has 34 disposals and Chad Warner who had 24 disposals, seven tackles and six clearances.

Western Bulldogs vs Port Adelaide

Friday night was a big one for the Power, who continued their winning streak in 2023 with a comfortable 22-point win at Marvel Stadium.

Jack Macrae once again showed his midfield strength dropping 26 disposals and a goal with strong contributions from Marcus Bontempelli, who had 31 disposals and a goal, Adam Treloar with 34 and a goal, and Caleb Daniel with 29 disposals and a goal. Tom Liberatore also managed 33 disposals and 11 clearances.

Zak Butters was Port Adelaide's top performer securing the win with a goal, six clearances and 31 disposals to his name. Connor Rozee has continued his good form with 23 disposals and a goal.

Hawthorn Hawks vs Brisbane Lions

Saturday began with an upset at the MCG with the Hawks stealing the hearts of Lions fan with a 25-point win.

James Sicily had a day out with 32 disposals and 12 marks with the help of Jarman Impey, who added 28 disposals and 12 marks. Dylan Moore was also a threat picking up 25 disposals and two goals to end a good day for the Hawks.

Josh Dunkley has continued to impress by kicking his first goal as a Lion and 28 disposals to go with it. His partner in crime, Lachie Neale, also had an impressive day despite the loss with 30 disposals and five clearances.

Adelaide Crows vs West Coast Eagles

On what was a very dark day for the Eagles, the Crows obliterated the travelling side by 122 points.

Taylor Walker wowed the AFL world by kicking 10 goals that had Crows fans losing their minds with 21 disposals and 11 marks. Rory Laird also turned up the heat with 34 disposals and 13 clearances. Captain Jordan Dawson also had a stunning 32 disposals, while Ben Keays had another strong performance with 29 disposals and a goal.

Bailey Williams was one standout for the Eagles with a goal and 20 disposals to go along with 35 hitouts. Tim Kelly was also a shining light with his 27 disposals and a goal.

Fremantle Dockers vs Richmond Tigers

Richmond has taken an unlikely win from the Dockers flying back to Melbourne with a 15-point victory.

Tim Taranto has continued with his run for the Brownlow with 35 disposals and a goal to match with his seven clearances. Toby Nankervis was also impressive with a goal and 49 hitouts and Shai Bolton with his 33 disposals and a goal.

Caleb Serong with 31 disposals and a goal and Andrew Brayshaw with 29 disposals and a goal have combined once again showing their talents. But Luke Jackson was even more impressive with two goals, 23 disposals and 33 hitouts.

North Melbourne vs GWS Giants

The Giants had a comfortable victory over the Kangaroos even after the Roos continued to stay in touch for the majority of the game with a margin of 28 points.

Toby Greene topped the charts with three goals and 24 touches. Big man Kieren Briggs had 20 hitouts and 16 touches, and Jesse Hogan pitched in with two goals.

Jack Ziebell had 30 touches and Aaron Hall also dropped 25 disposals. George Wardlaw has also added to the start of his career with a goal and 22 disposals.

Fan favourite Nic Martin again put in another strong performance with a goal, 30 disposals and seven clearances. Zach Merrett had 18 disposals and a goal, and Nick Hind with 21 touches. Jye Caldwell added 25 disposals and a goal to his 2023 campaign.

Sam Docherty was Carlton's best on ground with 27 disposals and eight marks, closely followed by Sam Walsh recording 35 disposals. Adam Cerra also has 31 disposals and five clearances.

The Demons ended Collingwood's winning streak with an exciting four-point win for Neale Daniher on Monday.

Collingwood's Jack Crisp had a day out with a goal and 28 disposals, combined with Tom Mitchell's 30 disposals and 10 tackles. Taylor Adams also had a nice game with his 27 disposals and eight tackles.
