Amidst ongoing speculation regarding John Worsfold’s standing as Essendon coach in 2020, Bombers CEO Xavier Campbell has guaranteed that Woosha will be the club’s coach for next season.

"John will be coaching Essendon next year," Campbell told Channel Seven.

"Obviously, as a football club, like a lot of clubs, we're reviewing how our season has gone and we have been for the last six weeks, like good clubs do, to try and find improvement.

"There's a whole range of initiatives we want to put in place to best support John and the coaching group.

"I've never felt that there's ever been anything bar alignment with John and the club. I feel like there's a good opportunity moving forward for our football club."

After missing out on finals in 2018, Worsfold steered the Bombers to their second finals series in three seasons, but ultimately his side exited in the first week after falling to West Coast by 55 points at Optus Stadium.
