Former AFL winger Jaxon Binns will play in the VFL for Williamstown in 2027.

Binns was listed at Carlton from 2023-2025, playing eight games and averaging 17 disposals.

He was sensationally axed at the end of last year with a year still to run on his contract after being selected out of Berwick and Dandenong Stingrays with Pick 32 of the 2022 AFL Draft.

The 21-year-old played for Essendon VFL in 2026 and trained with the AFL squad in summer, taking out their two-kilometre time trial. He averaged 22 disposals across 18 games.

Binns' signature comes after the Seagulls announced Torin Baker as head coach in 2027.

Stalwart Jack Toner has departed the Gulls for the WAFL.

The Seagulls finished eighth on the table in 2026, knocked out by Essendon in the elimination final.
