Fremantle has delisted Jaren Carr but have committed to redrafting him via the rookie intake in November.

Carr joined the Dockers with Pick 63 in 2024 as the club's first father-son selection.

He has yet to make his AFL debut.

“Jaren has continued to develop in all aspects of his footy after being drafted at 20," said EGM of Football Joe Brierty.

"We are committed to taking him in the rookie draft and continuing his AFL career with us.”

He played 17 games for Peel Thunder in 2026, including the grand final win over Claremont.

Carr's father, Matthew, played 134 games for Fremantle between 2001 and 2008 while his uncle, Josh, played 83 games for the Dockers. Josh is now the Port Adelaide senior coach.

Carr joins Brisbane duo Koby Evans and Luke Lloyd, Collingwood's Harry DeMattia and Western Bulldogs' Riley Garcia as the small contingent of players who have been delisted, with the caveat of being redrafted as rookies to their respective clubs.

The Dockers farewelled Bailey Banfield, Ryda Luke, Ollie Murphy and Sam Sturt.

Sam Switkowski retired from the AFL and was unable to complete the fairytale finish after the heartbreaking loss to Brisbane in the Grand Final.

Nathan O'Driscoll was traded to Richmond in search of more AFL opportunities.
