West Coast is understood to be open to trading one of its second-round picks, with the club expected to net a second selection as compensation for the expected matched bids on top-line talents Dougie Cochrane and Cody Walker.
The Eagles could look at adding a future first-round selection, putting it into their 2027 draft hand to help bolster their chances in successfully trading for Sydney's Chad Warner. The club currently has a 2027 first- and third-round selection.
West Coast currently has Picks 3 and 23 and will snare another selection in the 20s that they can use to trade, according to AFL Media.

Warner comes out of contract at the end of 2027 as a restricted free agent and has been a player of interest for the Western Australian club.
His status as a restricted free agent will likely mean the Swans would force a trade if the midfielder nominates West Coast, or any rival, as his preferred destination from 2028 onwards.
“I don't know if we turn to it or if it's always sort of been a part of it,” West Coast list boss Matt Clarke told AFL Trade Radio earlier this month.
“We're always looking at those guys when they're coming out of contract, free agents all over the place.
“Obviously, Chad is very happy with where he is in Sydney at the moment. We will continue to assess him.
“If there's a link between Trent and Chad, that's great. I am sure Chad will make up his mind as to what he wants to do."

Close friend and new Eagle Trent Rivers was traded to the club from Melbourne, and could be seen as a selling point for Warner as he makes up his free agency decision.
“I messaged Chad last night and said, ‘In 12 months, I hope you're locker buddies with me'", Rivers said on SEN two weeks ago.
Fremantle said they'd consider making a play for any homegrown talent, but given its midfield mix, it'd be difficult to move Caleb Serong, Andrew Brayshaw or Shai Bolton from the stoppages.
