GWS Giants forward Callum Brown is sure to face a nervous wait after delivering a bump on Sydney defender Tom McCartin that looms likely to draw the Match Review Officer's ire.
During the second term of the closely fought 'Battle of the Bridge' between the competition's pair of Harbour City combatants, Brown and McCartin converged on a ball in open play, with the former collecting the latter, leaving McCartin prostrate on the turf.
McCartin would soon be subbed out of the contest, joining gun Giant Tom Green in having his afternoon end early, with the Brownlow contender sustaining an ankle injury.
'You can't brace like that, and make that sort of contact.'

Brown's brace and hit comes after McCartin - the younger brother of medically retired ex-Saint and Swan Paddy McCartin - spent months on the sideline last season as he fought his own concussion battle.
Following a head knock in Round 4 of the 2023 season, McCartin sat out until Round 7, however, the stopper's return was shortlived, with the then-23-year-old lasting just a fortnight before withdrawing from action again.
McCartin would sit out the vast majority of May and the enterity of June before returning in Round 17 to face Richmond.
The MRO will provide their ruling on Brown's bump on Sunday evening.
