Carlton's Harry McKay and the Gold Coast's Matt Rowell have recorded perfect rounds to open the 2024 race for the AFL Coaches Association Champions Player.

Coaches vote on a 5,4,3,2,1 basis after each home and away game to determine the award, and while Isaac Heeney and Brodie Grundy managed to score nine votes on the Swans' opening weekend, it was McKay and Rowell who took out the top spots.
