The Port Adelaide Football Club has said it is "deeply saddened" after the passing of former Power player Daniel Stewart on Friday.
The club announced the news on Saturday, with the 37-year-old's death being described as sudden.
Stewart played 36 games for Port Adelaide from 2010-13, kicking 31 goals.
Power CEO Matthew Richardson said the club was heartbroken to hear of Stewart's passing and announced that Port Adelaide would wear black arm bands as tribute during its first home game of the 2027 season.
“On behalf of everyone at the Port Adelaide Football Club, I extend our deepest condolences to Daniel's family including his mum Donna, dad Byron, wife Laura, his two sons Bernie and Lando and his brother Leigh,” Richardson said.
“We also extend our thoughts to his friends, including his close friend and former teammate Matt Thomas, and to all those at North Adelaide and Labrador who knew him.
“Daniel was part of the Port Adelaide football family, and he always will be. A sudden passing like this is devastating and our thoughts are with everyone who loved him, and with the teammates, coaches and staff who shared the journey with him here at Alberton.
“The club will provide support to those affected by Daniel's passing, including his former teammates and the people who worked alongside him."

Stewart took the long way around to make it to the AFL.
Having represented then-TAC Cup side Eastern Ranges in his junior years, Stewart moved to Queensland to play for Labrador.
The 200cm key forward then moved to play for North Adelaide in the SANFL where he impressed Port Adelaide scouts.
At 21, he was taken with Pick 35 in the 2009 Rookie Draft.
Stewart kicked a career high four goals, recording 12 disposals and four contested marks, against Richmond in Round 22, 2010.
Port Adelaide has asked for Stewart's family to have privacy during this difficult time.
