Many greats have towered over others in their dominance of the game across the decades of the AFL's history. Their lumbering presence has thrilled fans and, at times, dictated the outcome of games just by their massive presence alone.

With so few "giants" out there in the AFL landscape, how would you rank them amongst each other to find out who truly towers over all as the all-time greatest tall to ever play the game?

Here's my ranking of the top 10 tall players to ever play the game. The criteria for the list is simple: to qualify, a player must be 205cm and over.

3Paul Salmon (205cm)

A Hawthorn team of the century member and an Essendon Hall of Famer, Salmon is one more accomplished dual-clubmen in recent memory. The key forward led Essendon's goalkicking for seven years and earned two premierships in 1985 and 1993 during the process.

Salmon could play in the ruck when needed and did so almost full-time for the Hawks during his later years when he was named twice as the club's best and fairest on his way to his third All-Australian team and first with Hawthorn in 1997.
