Many greats have towered over others in their dominance of the game across the decades of the AFL's history. Their lumbering presence has thrilled fans and, at times, dictated the outcome of games just by their massive presence alone.

With so few "giants" out there in the AFL landscape, how would you rank them amongst each other to find out who truly towers over all as the all-time greatest tall to ever play the game?

Here's my ranking of the top 10 tall players to ever play the game. The criteria for the list is simple: to qualify, a player must be 205cm and over.

4Justin Madden (206cm)

One of, if not the first tall to truly dominate the game around him, the two-time premiership player at Carlton was originally a tap ruckman at Essendon before developing into a versatile ruck/resting forward during his years with the Blues. Notching two best and fairest medals with Carlton, Madden was one of the centre pieces to their premiership years and would claim his status as the best ruckman in the competition with an All-Australian selection in 1995.
