Many greats have towered over others in their dominance of the game across the decades of the AFL's history. Their lumbering presence has thrilled fans and, at times, dictated the outcome of games just by their massive presence alone.

With so few "giants" out there in the AFL landscape, how would you rank them amongst each other to find out who truly towers over all as the all-time greatest tall to ever play the game?

Here's my ranking of the top 10 tall players to ever play the game. The criteria for the list is simple: to qualify, a player must be 205cm and over.

5Tim English (208cm)

Pump the Brakes: Is Tim English really the AFL's #1 ruckman?

A key piece in the Bulldogs' 2021 Grand final team, English has been regarded as one of the big ruckmen of the 2020s through his unique agility and kicking ability that has opened up the Bulldogs midfield to all kinds of opportunities. English's talents would be recognised with an All-Australian team selection in 2023 after beating out acclaimed rucks in Max Gawn, Rowan Marshall and Luke Jackson.
