Many greats have towered over others in their dominance of the game across the decades of the AFL's history. Their lumbering presence has thrilled fans and, at times, dictated the outcome of games just by their massive presence alone.
With so few "giants" out there in the AFL landscape, how would you rank them amongst each other to find out who truly towers over all as the all-time greatest tall to ever play the game?
Here's my ranking of the top 10 tall players to ever play the game. The criteria for the list is simple: to qualify, a player must be 205cm and over.
10Matthew Burton (210cm)
You simply can't be naming some of the league's tallest players without mentioning fan favourite Matthew "Spider" Burton. Starting at the Eagles in the WAFL, Spider played 70 games for Fremantle, along with 77 for North Melbourne, averaging a solid 10 disposals, 18 hit-outs across his career and was just simply a joy to watch and barrack for.
