Sydney coach Dean Cox admits the availability of Justin McInerney and Joel Amartey for the club's looming preliminary final will create some "selection issues".
The pair have missed the back half of the year through injury, but have overcome hamstring and Achilles injuries to push for a recall.
Swans captain Callum Mills is heading in for scans on Monday after injuring his knee in the first quarter, with the club fearing the worst.
"He's devastated," Cox said on SEN.
"What he's done for our football club has been nothing short of phenomenal. I think we've seen the character of the person over the last few weeks, but to have him as your sole captain, there was a reason for it.
"He's our best leader, and unfortunately, he gets a scan today that will determine the extent of it. It doesn't look good, and I think the way he approached coming out to the bench, he wanted to speak to the players at three-quarter time, is someone putting the team over himself, and I was really proud of that."
McInerney poses as a straight swap for Mills ahead of a match-up with Fremantle or Geelong, with the winner progressing to the penultimate week of the season.
As for Amartey, he will struggle to fit into the senior side given the form of Charlie Curnow, Logan McDonald and Hayden McLean.
The trio of Swans key forwards combined for 14 goals, whilst McLean also assisted Brodie Grundy with the ruck duties.
Cox also revealed he has remained in contact with the five suspended stars.
The Sydney coach said he spoke to them after the surprise 53-point win over Brisbane on Saturday, but was unable to provide any further updates as trade speculation begins to circulate.
"I'll still stay in constant dialogue with them," Cox said.
"That's one thing I'll always do with my players. That won't change. Having said that, the job I got to do is to prepare this football team as well as possible, and it'll be a big couple of weeks.
"There's so much to go through. We've got to make sure we focus on what we can whilst supporting the players. Eventually it'll play out as the season does finish and we get a little bit more time and a little bit more information as well.
"I spoke to them (after the win), which was great; they were watching and supporting their teammates."
