Sydney coach Dean Cox has not confirmed whether any of the Pullman five will return to the club prior to the end of the season.
The second year coach spoke on Fox Footy's AFL 360 on Tuesday night ahead of Sydney's home Qualifying Final against Brisbane on Saturday afternoon.
When asked about whether any of the five suspended players will come back to the club in 2026, Cox left the door ajar.
"I think things are changing by the hour and the day," Cox said.
"The people upstairs, that I'm privy to some of those conversations so far has been about how best we manage our football team at the minute and make sure that we focus as heavily as we possibly can on this weekend's game, whilst also supporting those players while they aren't at the club.
"Yeah, there is no timeframe on when they will return, we will just keep talking about it each day and assess the situation from there.
"There's so much at play. My job now is to prepare the team as well as I possibly can and get us as ready and as united from Andrew (Pridham) to (Matthew Pavlich) to all staff to the playing group to put in a really strong performance and be ready on Saturday."
The Pullman five of Isaac Heeney, Chad Warner, Nick Blakey, James Jordon and Riley Bice have not been seen publicly since the alleged sexual assault incident occurred two weeks ago.
Cox said he has been in constant talks with the five suspended players about their welfare.
"One thing I will always do is support my players. I'm staying in dialogue with those five players, whilst they are away from the football club. I speak about their welfare, how they are going, if we can support in anyway," he said.
"We need to understand that it's one thing I will always do. I haven't spoken to them at all about the police investigation. And I think we need to understand there is still an investigation in process.
"I or everyone else, we need to get the facts on that before we make any assumptions. It's purely about support and I'll continue to do that."
