It's that time again to take a lighter look into the big and final week of AFL.

Here's what's happened this week.

Maxy-nated and ready for the Grand Final!

Max Gawn was the man of the match last Friday and now the man of the moment as the  Demons defeated the Cats in an 83-point drubbing.

Gawn, who was in red-hot form, booted five goals against the Cats, and Demon fans celebrated their star skipper, sending social media into overdrive.

Demons coach Simon Goodwin also paid a unique tribute to Max Gawn 🤟

And Somehow the star player even gave Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio a run for his money, making it aboard the Titanic to celebrate the win.

Jump aboard the Demons Bandwagon in WA!

Sadly for Melburnians, the Grand Final won't take place at the MCG, however, the Dees have wasted no time trying to pick up some extra fans in the west ahead of next week's Grand Final clash against the Dogs.

Footy fever has well and truly hit Perth and Grand Final tickets have been snapped up fast!

Western Bulldogs thrash Port Adelaide and book a spot in the Grand Final

The Dogs had their tails up from their nail-biting one-point win over the Lions and wasted no time putting the Power out last weekend, thrashing Port Adelaide by 71 points.

The Dogs were in top form in Adelaide and controlled the Power with ease. Although the Demons have been the footy favourites to take out the flag this year, they still have plenty of work if they want to shut down the in-form Dogs.

Fans shamelessly took to social media to celebrate yet another major and impressive win for the Bulldogs.

Port fans left devastated at home...

The Power's slow start to the match set the tone for their very disappointing prelim final against the Dogs, as the team failed to score a goal halfway through the first quarter.  Meanwhile, the Dogs were at ease cruising along to a 31-point lead.

The Power struggled to gain the momentum they usually have during the match, and the online memes became harsher by the minute 😳

As the match continued to progress, so did the Dogs' dominance, with Luke Beveridge's side leading the way until the final siren. By then Port Adelaide fans knew well before the final quarter that their season was well and truly over! 🙁

Dogs and Dees unleash their creative side to support their teams for the Grand Final!

From decorating their front lawn to painting a mural in the city, Dees and Dogs fans showed their support for their beloved teams ahead of the upcoming Grand Final clash.

Wherever you walk between now and next weekend, you are likely to see Red and Blue or Red, White and Blue wherever you go. With the colours so similar some sneaky fans have even added or removed the colour white to the opposing team.

Below show some of the creative work Melbourne fans did to support the players and their team.

And the Dogies art was equally as impressive, especially this mural below, featuring gun players and Norm Smith potentials Marcus Bontempelli and Bailey Smith in Footscray.

Garry Lyon and Chris Grant to present the premiership cup

Melbourne great Garry Lyon and Bulldogs legend Chris Grant finally have the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Tiger's legend Mathew Richardson, who wore his heart on his sleeve and passionately celebrated Richmond's last three Grand Final premierships.

Lyon has been selected to present the cup if the Demons win and Chris Grant will present the cup if the Bulldogs win.

But who exactly will be the Mathew Richardson of 2021 will all be revealed next week! 😳

Grand Final entertainment nearing decision

It has been revealed that Birds of Tokyo will likely perform at the AFL Grand Final and some people on social media have been less than impressed with the choice. However comparing the 2021 selection to the AFL entertainment of the past, it is safe to say the performances have come a long way.

The AFL asked fans on social media to name their favourite act in Grand Final history and 'The Killers' were definitely a fan favourite however some believe Meat Loaf should make a return. Thoughts? 🤔

Hamish Blake tries to Scam his way into WA

Melbourne have finally made their way into the Grand final and hope to break their 57-year premiership drought however many diehard Demon supporters like Hamish Blake won't be able to attend the game.

However the very popular and comedic media personality took matters into his own hands and tried to scheme his way into the premier, Mark McGowan's good books - with the desperate hope to watch his team!

Posing as Max Gawn, a truck driver and then calling the premier's office didn't quite cut it.

Nice try Hamish!
