Port Adelaide's Miles Bergman's breakout season has reportedly attracted interest from rival clubs, particularly St Kilda.

Bergman was recruited from the Hampton Rovers and Sandringham Dragons when drafted to Port Adelaide, with St Kilda likely to be an interested suitor given his links to the area.

After debuting in 2021, Bergman went on to play every game of his second season at Alberton, including Port Adelaide's prelimary against the Western Bulldogs. However, injuries last year saw him only feature in 10 games, but he's been stringing together consistent form this season, featuring in all of the Power's games so far.

AFL reporter Cal Twomey told SEN Breakfast that the Power are keen to keep Bergman at the club amid interest from the Saints.

"He continues to be linked to them," Twomey said of St Kilda's interest in Bergman. "Port Adelaide are desperate to keep him though.

"They are pushing to keep and retain him, they really want to do that. The question from his point of view is just - does he want to come home?"

Bergman is ranking above average for marks and tackles this season, ranking amongst the best in Port Adelaide's strong win over North Melbourne in Round 9.

Port Adelaide have some big-name players coming out of contract at the end of the season, including the likes of captain Tom Jonas, Charlie Dixon, Scott Lycett, Trent McKenzie and Travis Boak.

The Power will play Hawthorn this weekend as they search for their 10th win in a row.
