West Coast Eagle's newest recruits Jack Viney and Trent Rivers have locked away their guernsey numbers ahead of the 2027 season.
After wearing No.7 over his 14 years with Melbourne, Viney will take recently retired premiership Eagle Jamie Cripps' No.15.
Cripps wore the No.15 across 261 games from 2013 until his retirement this year, including the 2018 Grand Final victory over Collingwood.
Fellow Demon-turned-Eagle Rivers will keep the same number he wore in the blue and red, continuing in the No.24 guernsey he wore across seven years with Melbourne.
Rivers wore No.24 in all 140 games he played in, including the 2021 Grand Final win at Optus Stadium, which he will now call home.
The 25-year-old will carry the number made famous for the Eagles by legend and dual premiership captain John Worsfold over his more than 200-game career in the blue and gold.
2026 Mid-Season Rookie Marcus Herbert will also make a switch from the No.51 to the No.30 guernsey.
Herbert was the first ever player in Eagles history to wear the number and will now wear the famous No.30 for the club, previously worn by dual premiership player and Australian Football Hall of Famer Peter Matera.
It's the number Matera wore in his Norm Smith Medal-winning performance in the 1992 Grand Final, as all the number switches so far hold significant value at the football club.
West Coast's incoming draftees will also have the opportunity to select from the remaining available numbers, with 10, 16, 29 and 34 all up for grabs.
