Collingwood's Jordan De Goey has been handed a one-game ban for his dangerous tackle on Cats star Patrick Dangerfield during Saturday night's loss to Geelong.

De Goey can accept the suspension with an early guilty plea, with the Rough Conduct charge assessed as Careless Conduct, Medium Impact and High Contact.

The one-week ban would see De Goey miss his side's Round 4 clash with West Coast next Saturday.

Meanwhile, Lions ruckman Oscar McInerney has been charged with Striking Roo Tristan Xerri, with the Brisbane tall offered a one-game suspension.

The Match Review Officer has deemed the incident as Intentional Conduct, Low Impact and High Contact.

McInerney will miss his side's match against Geelong next week should he accept the suspension.

His teammate Jarrod Berry (Striking, $2000), Cat Tom Atkins (Wrestling, $1000) and Giant Harry Himmelberg (Striking, $2000) have also been sanctioned by the MRO following Saturday's matches.
