Port Adelaide have delisted Sam Gray ahead of Thursday's list lodgement deadline.

The 27-year old departs the club after 96 AFL games and 98 SANFL games, struggling to consistently cement his spot in the senior team.

“Sam has been a great contributor to the Port Adelaide Football Club, having started at U/17 level from his home in Cleve on the Eyre Peninsula, progressing to win a SANFL Best and Fairest for the club before being drafted onto the club’s AFL list and then making his way into our team,” the club's general manager of football Chris Davies told portadelaidefc.com.au.

“Throughout that time, he has shown his versatility and willingness to play in multiple positions on the ground, in order to help the team.

“There is no doubt that he has developed a lot of friendships over his journey and has been a popular member of the playing group and we wish him all the very best for his future.”
