GWS v West Coast

It was a pretty dominant performance from the Giants, so no surprise they will have most of the best players. Pick No.2 in the national draft, Tim Taranto, had 21 disposals in his first appearance for the Giants, pick No.5 Will Setterfield also impressed with 15 of his own.

Tendai M'Zungu had 22 touches and kicked a goal in his first appearance since his move from the Dockers. However it was the 2013 No.2 draft pick Josh Kelly who was the standout performer. Kelly had 29 touches and nine tackles for the Giants, he looks set to step up this year.

For West Coast, fourth-year player Dom Sheed was impressive with 27 disposals and Nathan Vardy had 27 hitouts in his first game. But the young Eagles side was thoroughly outclassed on the day.

Best
Greater Western Sydney: Kelly, Wilson, Mzungu, Taranto, Patton, Setterfield
West Coast: Sheed, Hutchings, Watson, Wellingham, Jetta
