Richmond livewire forward Jack Higgins has begun his pre-season as he begins his return from brain surgery which cruelled his 2019 season.

The crowd favourite underwent multiple surgeries after a brain bleed was detected in July, ultimately ending his season.

It remains unclear whether this return to training means he’s taken a step forward in the recovery timeframe after it was reported earlier that Higgins was expected to sit out most of the 2020 season.

The 20-year-old posted a photo on Instagram yesterday from Central Park in Malvern.

"From all the ups and downs. And now we are back," Higgins captioned it.

Higgins has played 33 games and kicked 24 goals since he was drafted in 2018.
