Second-year Hawthorn forward Tyler Brockman is set to be placed on the club's inactive list, resulting in a second list spot opening up for the Hawks to potentially use at Wednesday's Mid-Season Draft.

Brockman's move to Hawthorn's inactive list comes after the 19-year-old suffered a season-ending shoulder injury while playing for Box Hill in the VFL a month ago.

According to AFL.com.au's Callum Twomey, the Hawks will gain a second selection for the Mid-Season Draft, with the new selection likely to fall at 19th overall in the draft order.

The Hawks already hold Pick 6 in the draft given their open list vacancy that wasn't used at the Rookie Draft.

Clubs are required to submit their final list vacancies to the AFL by 2pm on Tuesday.
