Former Geelong, Port Adelaide and Fremantle midfielder Quinton Narkle has returned to Victoria for 2026, signing with Broadford in the Bendigo Football League.
The past three years have seen Narkle feature for all of the Cats, Power and Dockers, the latter recruiting the Perth junior via the Supplemental Selection Period at the end of last year.
Narkle played two games for Fremantle this year prior to being delisted, bringing his career tally to 59 matches across nine seasons.
He was first drafted to Geelong in 2016 and would play 41 games for the Cats before being delisted. A stint with Essendon's VFL program put Narkle's name back in the mix for an AFL chance, with Port Adelaide recruiting the 182cm midfielder via the 2023 Mid-Season Draft.
Narkle was delisted once more by the end of the 2024 season after 16 games for Port Adelaide, which included a spot in all three of the club's finals matches that year.
The 27-year-old is now heading back to Victoria, having signed with BFNL outfit Broadford for next year.
"The Broadford Football Netball Club is absolutely thrilled to announce the signing of former AFL midfielder, Quinton Narkle, for the 2026 season," a club post read.

"Quinton joins the Roos with an incredible football journey behind him having played at Geelong, Port Adelaide, and Fremantle, bringing with him elite AFL experience, leadership and class.
"Originally from Western Australia, Quinton is known for his explosive pace, clean ball use and creativity through the midfield. Over his AFL career, he played nearly 60 games at the top level and built a strong reputation for his work ethic, skill and ability to turn a game.
"This is a huge signing for the Broadford FNC, not only adding serious talent and experience to our senior side, but also providing inspiration and knowledge for our up-and-coming footballers across all age groups.
"We're beyond excited to have Quinton, his partner Taylah and their two beautiful daughters join the Broadford community, and can't wait to see him in the blue and white for season 2026."
Broadford's football program returns to the field in 2026 after multiple years out of action, having last featured in the Outer East Football League in 2023 before seeking a transfer.
The Roos will commence their BFNL run next year, with Narkle's signature a major boost for the local club.
