The AFL has confirmed Wildcard Round prices will start at $35.

The competition announced a price freeze on entry-level tickets for all matches across the 2026 finals series, marking the 11th year in a row.

Entry-level tickets will remain at $35 for all Qualifying, Elimination and Semi-Finals.

All other categories will increase by two per cent on 2025 prices.

The AFL Grand Final copped a four per cent increase to all ticketing categories, with the cheapest ticket starting at $172 (compared to $165 last year).

The most expensive ticket for the 2026 decider will be $536 (compared to $515 last year).

The two competing club members, AFL members and MCC members, will have access to approximately 75,000 tickets (or 3/4 of the MCG).

Competing club members receive the largest allocation of 35,000 (17,500 each), followed by MCC members, AFL and Medallion Club members, followed by other stakeholders (corporate and broadcast partners, clubs) and then premium hospitality experiences.

“As part of our ongoing commitment to ensure the game remains affordable for members and fans who support their club's week in and week out, we are pleased to announce the price freeze on entry-level ticket prices for the eleventh straight year," AFL boss Andrew Dillon said.
 
“Cost of living has been a challenge for families and fans alike, and we have been focused on delivering initiatives to help ease that pressure across the year.
  
“When Finals tickets are released, priority will be the members of the competing clubs, who will continue to receive the largest share of tickets. "

The following are several initiatives and price freezes across the AFL and AFLW:

  • The 2026 Toyota AFL Season general admission tickets for all matches at the MCG and Marvel Stadium frozen at $27 for the eighth straight season
  • To assist with cost-of-living pressures a special ticketing offer across Rounds 10 to 15 saw Adult General Admission tickets reduced to $20 (from $27), Concession tickets to $15 (from $18), Junior tickets remained at $5, and family passes were available $40 (from $54). 
  • Kids Footy Month thanks to Coles with kids under 14 able to go to the footy free nationally across Rounds 16-19 
  • Kids Go Free for matches in Victoria in Round 24 
  • Under 14 free at NAB AFLW matches and adult ticket prices frozen at $15 for the 2026 home and away season
  • Marvel Stadium having the most affordable Pies ($4.70) Chips ($4.90) and Hot Dogs ($6) anywhere in Australia for major stadium events. The price of Pies and Hot Dogs at Marvel is lower now than they were in 2016.
  • Thanks to AFL partner Shell, 10cents off per litre during the April school holidays

The 2026 Toyota AFL Finals Series get underway with the newly introduced Wildcard Finals, which will see 7th vs 10th and 8th v 9th, commencing on Friday 28 August. 
 
The 2026 Toyota AFL Grand Final will be held at the MCG on Saturday, 26 September at 2.30pm AEST.
