The Lions are in a rich vein of form following a stunted start to 2021, with their eyes now firmly fixed on a top four spot.

Despite this, no team is ever perfect and even the Lions could use some reinforcements - either in the upcoming trade period or medium-term future.

We continue our ‘Five trade targets for every club' series with the Brisbane Lions. The idea of these stories is to identify potentially gettable targets who could fill roles, not just link every club to the likes of Marcus Bontempelli and Patrick Cripps.

FIVE TRADE TARGETS FOR: Adelaide Crows, Carlton

So in no particular order, here is it – five players we think Brisbane should have on their hit list.

1. Mabior Chol

The tall-Tiger is out-of-favour at Punt Road despite an injury to starting ruckman Ivan Soldo, with the excellent form of Toby Nankervis keeping the ruck spot firmly out of Chol's grasp. Despite this, the 24-year-old brings some fantastic talent to the table, with his athletic ability for a man of his size surprising opponents over the course of the past two seasons.

If the Lions could somehow poach him, he would bring another dimension to the side, with his ability to kick goals as well as play in the ruck giving Chris Fagan a handy tool to use. On top of this, Chol hails from Aspley, meaning the incentive of moving back home could be pivotal should Brisbane move for him.
