Jesse Motlop has inked a new two-year deal with Carlton, committing to the club until at least the end of 2025.

Motlop made his debut for the club in Round 9, 2022 after being drafted with Pick 27 in the 2021 National Draft, having since played 19 games for the club.

The 19-year-old has managed seven appearances so far this season, averaging 10 disposals and 1.1 goals.

Head of list management at the Blues, Nick Austin, said the club was thrilled to see the young Blue recommit.

“Jesse has embraced the football club with open arms since he walked in the door at the end of the 2021 season, and we can't wait to see what's still to come in the Navy Blue jumper,” Austin said.

“Jesse has a real x-factor, which we saw glimpses of last year, He is dynamic and creative player who can turn a game on its head with a quick goal or a special moment. To back this up though he has terrific work ethic, which was on full display throughout the summer.

“What we also love about Jesse is the energy he brings around the Club. That energy is infectious and he has a great connection with his teammates. We look forward to supporting him on and off the field to become the best player and person he can be.”
