Adelaide coach Don Pyke has confirmed star forward Mitch McGovern will not play in the Grand Final against Richmond on Saturday.

Pyke made the announcement over the microphone to fans at the club’s open training session on Wednesday.

McGovern injured his hamstring at training during the Crows’ week off between the qualifying final and preliminary final.

He missed the side’s win over Geelong last week.

McGovern has played 13 games this season, kicking 20 goals.
