Brisbane youngster Logan Morris is quickly becoming hot property, and there's no surprise given the start to his career.

Rival clubs have noticed Morris' talents and potential, including Collingwood, Geelong, Melbourne and Carlton, as well as the incoming Tasmania, according to AFL Media.

The Lion forward exits his current contract at the end of 2027, but hails from Victoria.

Neale a Pie?

Dual Brisbane premiership player and Brownlow Medallist Lachie Neale is headed for Collingwood.

The Lions believe Neale will be on the move at season's end, and given the offer to be worth $1 million per season, the Pies are all but locked to get their man.

The King becomes a Hawk

Gold Coast's Ben King wants to be a Hawthorn player in 2027.

The restricted free agent has been weighing up his future despite a two-year offer in front of him tabled by the Suns.

However, his free agency status will make a move difficult to conjure for the Hawks.

Gold Coast will likely match any bid for King, forcing a trade. As it stands, Hawthorn has selections 14, 26, 27, 32, 69 as well as futures.

Caps on long-term deals?

The AFL has put on the agenda a cap on long-term deals after a litany have been broken in recent years.

AFLPA and players have joined in unison, standing against a caveat in contract negotiations in the past.

There are nearly 30 players in the competition signed until at least 2031, with three locked away until the end of 2034.

A cap of six years could be floated to clubs to see where they stand.

Brisbane coach flagged for new role

Chris Fagan would be the ideal director of football for Melbourne.

Fagan's Brisbane coaching contract expires at the end of 2027, and hasn't been deemed a genuine candidate for the Tasmania job, with Nathan Buckley and John Longmire leading the charge.

Longmire future desires unveiled

Former Sydney coach John Longmire is understood to be all in on the Tasmania coaching job.

Longmire departed the Swans at the end of 2024 after five grand finals and one premiership during his tenure.

But he is understood to be keen to get back into the coaching caper, and has been linked to the Devils as well as the Carlton and Essendon vacancies.

AFL in India?

The AFL has its eye in taking the game overseas again.

India has been mooted as a potential destination to host a home-and-away match in the AFL.

It is understood the Western Bulldogs want to be at the front of the queue if the league takes the game to India.
