Demon to become a Don?
Adam Cooney has stated that the Essendon should be making moves to bring Sam Weideman to the Hanger this off-season.
The former Bulldog and Bomber claimed after Friday night’s final siren that Weideman, 24, would help fill the hole that coach Ben Rutten currently has inside forward 50.
Cooney, a first round draft selection himself, was of the opinion that Essendon should part ways with their first round draft pick this season if that is what was required to have Weideman wearing a red sash next season.

The Tigers have been riddled with injuries yet small forward Daniel Rioli still bides his time in Richmond's VFL side.
Former Kangaroos premiership star David King said on Fox Footy that a move could be best for both the club and Rioli given the current state of affairs at Punt Road.

Crows ball-magnet on the chopping block?
There have been calls for the Adelaide crows to consider trading gun ball-winner Matt Crouch.
The ball-winner has been out for the duration of the 2021 season and while his absence is less than ideal, the Crows midfield has gone pretty well without him.
As Adelaide look to rebuild their focus needs to be on bringing top-end young talent through the door. One way to secure that talent is through the draft and for that you need draft picks, and former Collingwood recruiter, Matt Rendell, suggests Crouch should be used as bait to acquire more draft capital.

Out-of-contract Bulldogs duo being pursued
Western Bulldogs youngsters, Patrick Lipinski and Ed Richards, have become hot property as the out-of-contract duo look to have opportunities elsewhere in Melbourne and interstate for 2022 and beyond.
Lipinski was taken by the Bulldogs with Pick 28 in the 2016 National Draft and has played 53 games during his time at Whitten Oval, while 21-year-old Richards returned for his first game of the season in last-week's win over the West Coast Eagles after overcoming a broken leg during a VFL practice match in March.

GWS star linked to North Melbourne... AGAIN
Triple M’s Tom Browne is reporting that North Melbourne are being heavily linked to a play for the Giants midfielder, and that a monster contract could be on offer.
Kelly was a target of North previously where was offered reportedly over $1 million per season. He instead opted to stay at GWS on a deal that could either expire this year or be extended for the next eight years.

'Committed' Crow says club has to "be the one that makes the call"
Adelaide defender Daniel Talia has spoken on his uncertain future at the Crows, stating he is ready to prove his loyalty to the club as discussions between the two parties get underway.

Talia, who is currently unsigned for the 2022 season, spoke on SEN SA’s Kymbo and The Rooch, and revealed he had begun talking with the Crows on his position at the club, following comments by Crows football director Mark Riccuito and former star Andrew Jarman on Triple M last week.

Jamarra Ugle-Hagan is one of just two Bulldogs on the club’s list yet to make their AFL debut, with the young gun being a common feature for Footscray in the VFL.
Port Adelaide champion Kane Cornes has thrown up a potential trade for the Western Bulldogs to consider should they be prepared to move on the untried but highly-touted forward.

“Sam Darcy is going to come in [in the draft], so you’ve got Ugle-Hagan, Naughton, Bruce and Darcy coming in,” Cornes said on Footy Classified on Monday night.
With this in mind, Cornes says that the Bulldogs should listen to what some keen suitors might have to offer, naming Hawthorn as a potential trade candidate.

Does the Giants skipper need a new start?
“I think it would be best for him and the club. He needs to explore going to another club.”
So says radio shock-jock, Kane Cornes, urging Greater Western Sydney captain, Stephen Coniglio, to consider a “fresh start” and head west in order to rekindle his best form.
Coniglio has been limited to just the three games so far this season due to an ankle injury and has had his captaincy come under question at times, as forward Toby Greene has stood up in his absence to lead the side.
The 27-year-old took up the captaincy last season following a new seven-year extension with the club, deciding to remain in the Harbour City and turn down any offers for a potential move to Western Australia.

Moorabbin man linked with Victorian rival
Although St Kilda midfielder Luke Dunstan is currently in the form of his injury-ridden career, the 26-year-old is still yet to be offered a contract with the club for next season.
