Geelong CEO Steve Hocking has confirmed the club's plans for this year's trade period and National Draft.
While Chris Scott's squad currently occupies the top spot on the AFL ladder, the Pivot City side are expected to further bolster their established stocks, while continuing to add to their list through multiple draft avenues.
Speaking on 3AW, Hocking states the Cats will be active in free agency and trade windows, and will also heavily attack the draft.
"Weโll do what we need to do with a range of players and work through it," Hocking said.
"At the appropriate time, weโll continue to talk to the players that are available.
"We will be active in the trade period, but we will also do quite a bit of work in the draft as well. Itโll be a mixture of both. Weโve invested heavily in our development program.
"We want young talent here as well."
Geelong have been linked to star trio Jordan De Goey, Angus Brayshaw and Tim Taranto as they attempt to bolster their midfield stocks.
Another name that could seek a place at Kardinia Park is Todd Goldstein, filling that quality ruckman role they've been asking for.
Tanner Bruhn and James Worpel are two more potential recruits, with the Herald Sun recently reporting the Cats are seeking an established midfielder.

Hocking was asked about Taranto, after reports of the Cats being one of four Victorian clubs interested in the Giant.
"Thereโs a range of players weโre looking at,โ he said.
"I certainly donโt want to make it sound like weโre not throwing darts, weโre a club that will be active through that period.
"Weโll certainly be players in both areas."
Geelong currently have several key names unsigned for next season, with veterans Tom Hawkins, Gary Rohan, Isaac Smith, Zach Tuohy and Joel Selwood currently yet to recommit, while young pair Brandan Parfitt and Max Holmes are also out-of-contract.
