GWS forward Jake Stringer has announced he will likely leave the Giants at the end of the season and return home to be closer to family in Victoria.

During a press conference on Thursday ahead of his 250th game, Stringer said Saturday's match against Adelaide would likely be his last at the Giants.

Stringer has had one of the best seasons of his career, booting 42 goals from 22 games.

The 32-year-old would leave as an unrestricted free agent and wouldn't cost a club much to acquire him. So who would be the leading contenders to sign for The Package?

Carlton

What is the next evolution of Carlton's forward line in 2027 under recently signed senior coach Josh Fraser?

After Charlie Curnow left last trade period, the Blues looked destined to struggle in attack this season.

However, the makeshift mix of Harry McKay and swingmen Mitch McGovern and Brodie Kemp has worked surprisingly well.

The small forwards' performances have grown in the second half of the season as well, with Frank Evans, Will Hayward and Ben Ainsworth contributing on the scoreboard.

The forward line still remains makeshift, and the inclusion of Stringer into it could add firepower as he is a natural forward.

Carlton seems destined to grow under Fraser; could The Package deliver them the scoreboard impact the Blues need to climb the ladder next season?
