Collingwood superstar Nick Daicos has won the Brownlow Medal in a smashing. He broke the vote count record with an incredible 47, beating Carlton skipper Patrick Cripps' previous record of 45.
While he didn't crack the 50-mark, Daicos produced an incredible run that included him recording the most consecutive three-vote games in the league's history, with six.
The little champion averaged 34.9 disposals and more than a goal per game in season 2026.
After three consecutive finishes in the top three of Brownlow Medal counts for the past few seasons, Daicos finally broke through and did it in style.
The night also saw the Mark of the Year (Nick Watson) and Goal of the Year (Conor McKenna) awarded, as well as the Jim Stynes Community Award (Bailey Banfield).

Hawthorn's Nick Watson has claimed the Mark of the Year for his spectacular flying mark over West Coast's Liam Baker in the wet at Optus Stadium in Round 24.
The Wizard beat out Melbourne's Kysaiah Pickett and Fremantle's Shai Bolton for the award.
