Western Bulldog Adam Treloar has given the kicking style of Prince Harry a massive tick after a visit to the Whitten Oval.
Overseas celebrities rarely nail the basic skills of Australian rules, but Prince Harry was hit when he was put to the test.
"He kicked the ball OK actually! When foreigners come to Australia and pick up a footy and handballing it can be a bit awkward, but Prince Harry's kicking form was good," Treloar said.
It was an unusual sight seeing Prince Harry kick a football, but on Wednesday at the Whitten Oval, alongside Western Bulldogs players, he was taught how to dispose of the Sherrin.
Along with Treloar, Tom Liberatore and Matthew Kennedy met the Duke of Sussex, where 100 Bulldogs fans gathered to get a glimpse of the royal.
They discussed the differences between AFL and rugby before Harry ran across the field to kick the ball around with children.
Liberatore and Harry spent time talking about pubs, with the topic turning to the Libba-owned watering hole nearby, the Mona Castle.
The Dogs players presented personalised guernseys to Harry to give to the royal couple's children. He also posed for photographs while holding a Western Bulldogs scarf.
Prince Harry opened up on the stresses of fatherhood, speaking candidly of being a dad of two.
The Duke of Sussex was not joined by Duchess, Meghan, at the Whitten Oval.
He will fly to Canberra next for events at the Australian War Memorial and then return to Melbourne for a Scar Tree Walk before the InterEdge Summit on Thursday.
They will then travel to Sydney to sail around the harbour and watch a rugby match.
