Two-time Brownlow Medallist Lachie Neale is set to leave Brisbane and join Collingwood at the conclusion of the 2026 season.
All year long speculation has run rampant about where the premiership Lion would play beyond this year with Collingwood, West Coast and Brisbane all contenders.
According to Seven, Neale has locked in where he wants to play beyond this season and it is under Craig McRae at Collingwood.
The Pies are offering a multi-million dollar contract over multiple years, with Neale touring Collingwood's facilities earlier in the season.
Neale is currently hunting a third straight premiership with Brisbane and an announcement will not be made until after the Lions have won the flag or their season is done.
The contract from Collingwood is expected to be a three-year deal.
The future of Neale was thrust into the spotlight when he went through a highly publicised marriage breakdown during the summer.
His estranged wife Jules moved back home to Perth with their children, prompting speculation that Neale, whose contract ran out at the end of 2026, would follow his young family there.
However, while he is not going west, he is now highly expected to make the move to the Magpies and suit up in the black and white along fellow superstar Nick Daicos in 2027.
Neale has played 317 games during his time at Fremantle and Brisbane, winning two premierships (so far), four All-Australian blazers, six best-and-fairests and two Brownlow Medals.
