Hawthorn midfielder Daniel Howe is set to come under fire from the MRP for a punch that connected with Patrick Cripps' jaw in the early stages of their clash at Etihad Stadium.
At the first boundary throw-in of the match, Howe and Cripps were pushing and shoving each other, before Howe punched Cripps, with a hit sending him to his knees.
Cripps took some time to re-gain his footing, before immediately finding Howe and remonstrating with him.
Howe had no jumper in his hand during the punch, which could see him in serious trouble.
