Hawthorn veteran Shaun Burgoyne has been reported for bumping Port Adelaide's Jared Polec early in the first quarter of their clash in Tasmania on Saturday afternoon.
Inside the opening five minutes, Burgoyne attacked Polec and the ball while the winger was on the ground, and caught him high, momentarily knocking him flat on the ground.
The officiating umpire was on the scene quite quickly, and immediately reported Burgoyne for his hit.
Polec eventually got to his feet, and took the resulting free kick.
