The intrigue around North Melbourne forward Zane Duursma's future continues to increase, opening the door for clubs, including Melbourne, as a potential landing spot.
Duursma has a two-year offer from the Kangaroos, but has yet to sign it as he considers his future at another club.
According to AFL Media, the former Pick 4 is set to exit Arden Street at the end of the year after a strange start to his AFL career.
Duursma has struggled to cement his spot in the senior side under Alastair Clarkson, playing 38 games, including 15 this year. However, he has failed to showcase his impressive scoring prowess, slotting only 28 majors in the top flight.
Melbourne has quickly become a destination club after its shock rise to premiership contention under the new direction of Steven King.
The Demons are also considering making a play for Hawthorn duo Calsher Dear and Bailey Macdonald, as the pair weigh up their futures.

Dear has battled with injury and form, and has spent large parts of the season in the VFL. His intent to play more AFL footy will be hindered by the imminent arrival of Ben King from the Gold Coast Suns.
Macdonald has also sat behind the likes of Karl Amon and Jarman Impey in the halfback role, but when given the top-flight opportunity, has impressed under Sam Mitchell.
