The Western Bulldogs could name an unchanged lineup for the second straight week as they continue their strong run of form through the back end of the season, with the club's dominant VFL performers over the weekend likely left to 'bide their time' at the lower level.

Jack Macrae (43 disposals, 10 clearances, six tackles), Ryley Sanders (three goals, 39 possessions, seven clearances) and Oskar Baker (two goals, 31 touches, 13 marks) played leading roles in a dominant win over Casey.

But amid a run of six wins in seven games, Beveridge's side may not face any required alterations for Round 22 after getting through last Friday's victory over Melbourne unscathed.

It could see three-time All-Australian Macrae miss Sunday's meet against Adelaide, instead likely facing Frankston in the VFL for his third game at the level in 2024.

"It'll just depend on opportunities really," Beveridge told media on Tuesday.

"With the guys who played well in that midfield group who beat Casey; Jack, Ryley Sanders and Harvey Gallagher were very, very influential. They haven't done their selection opportunity any harm

"They'll just be biding their time, waiting for a spot. We're really happy with the way the boys have gone.

"It was unusual we picked the same 26 last week that we had against Sydney (the week prior), including the emergencies. I don't think we've ever done that in my journey here. That was a positive.

"Will we be unchanged this week? I'm not sure yet. We've got a bit of training to get through, Thursday will be our more significant session.

"If we get through that (unscathed), then it's likely to be a similar team."

Baker's performance caught the attention of Beveridge, with the former Demon "probably our best player" in Footscray's 12th win of the VFL season.

Currently placed behind the likes of Bailey Williams and Caleb Poulter in the wing pecking order at Whitten Oval, Baker's selection pressure has become "really important" for Beveridge as his side steers itself toward a finals return.

"The other midfielder who played really well against Casey last week was Oskar Baker, he was probably our best player,"

"Even though the boys had a lot of the ball, his game on the wing was quite outstanding. Kicked three (goals) and defenders really well.

"That pressure on those roles is really important for us. They're niche roles those wing roles."

Injured Bulldogs trio James Harmes (hamstring), Ryan Gardner (wrist) and Kelsey Rypstra (hamstring) could all return through the VFL this weekend.

Beveridge noted the Dogs will look to rely on a balance of defenders and midfielders to try and quell returning Crows star Izak Rankine this weekend.

The livewire forward's four-game suspension ends this week, with the crafty attacker set to link up with damaging teammate Ben Keays to cause headaches for Beveridge's men.

A win at Adelaide Oval, which would be the Western Bulldogs' first at the venue since the 2021 preliminary final, could take the Dogs to fourth on the ladder by the end of the weekend.
