Retired Geelong champion Tom Hawkins has locked in his playing future at the local level, signing with VAFA outfit the Old Melburnians.
Hawkins has already suited up for two local teams this year, playing for his old junior club Finley and Central Highlands Football League club Beaufort as part of this year's Carlton Draft.
The 36-year-old kicked four goals in both games, bringing his wealth of experience from the top flight to the grassroots level.
Hawkins has been confirmed as a signing for the Old Melburnians for the remainder of the 2025 VAFA campaign in what is a significant coup for the local club.
Hawkins attended Melbourne Grammar prior to being drafted by Geelong in 2006 as a father-son selection, following in the footsteps of his dad, Jack.

Hawkins played a club record 359 games for Geelong over 18 seasons at Kardinia Park, leading the Cats' goalkicking in 11 years while booting 796 goals and winning a Coleman Medal during his decorated career.
The key forward was also selected in the All-Australian team five times and won a best and fairest at Geelong, where he won three premierships.
Prior to being drafted, Hawkins claimed the Larke Medal as the best player at the U18s National Championships, playing for Vic Metro.
Hawkins' old school friend, ex-Hawthorn and West Coast player Xavier Ellis, has also been confirmed as a recent signing for the Old Melburnians.
The Old Melburnians' next game in the Premier B division is scheduled for Saturday against Old Ivanhoe at Chelsworth Park.
