It isn't easy to decide on three reasons why we're most looking forward to the 2019 season with so many more events to talk about.

The Milestone Men
In what is set for a huge year in milestone matches with Sydney superstar Buddy Franklin headlining an impressive field as he looks set to break 300 games in round ten if he plays every game.
The 196 cm key forward will need to play close to every game if he wants to break 1000 career goals this season, a feat only achieved by five other players, with Buddy needing to boot 83 goals in 2019 to tick over the mark.
Goal-sneak Eddie Betts is just five games off the 300-game milestone as the fan-favourite looks to run through the banner in the Crows' round five clash against the Suns at the Adelaide Oval.
Steely-eyed defender Luke Hodge will have to play every game of the Lions' 2019 campaign as well as four finals to reach an impressive 350 games, expanding over 18 seasons at both the Hawks and the Lions although it seems impossible, 2019 may have another fairy-tale story in store for footy fanatics.
Other possible 300-gamers include Scott Pendlebury who will reach the coveted 300 game mark if he is able to play all of the Pies home and away games as well as one final, Hawthorn's Jarryd Roughead who needs 25 games as well as David Mundy (six games) and re-bounding defender Heath Shaw (18 games).
As for the other milestone's Carlton's Marc Murphy and Richmond premiership forward Jack Riewoldt will play their 250th games in the opening clash of the season against each other.
Brownlow medalist Patrick Dangerfield will need to play a total of 26 games in 2019 to crack the 250 mark, so the superstar may need to wait until next year.
