When looking at the 2026 AFL All-Australian side, there are no real blunders. I mean, real blunders.

All 23 are worthy selections and have the right to claim a blazer.

Brisbane forward Kai Lohamm also deemed himself stiff, as well as a star teammate.

"Me and Loges (Logan Morris) were up in Noosa for a few days, so obviously I was super proud of him that he got the call, and he's in the team as well, so that was awesome. But yeah, obviously, I was a bit flat," Lohmann said on B105's Stav, Abby & Matt.

"I thought I had a pretty good year as a small forward, and you know Nick Watson was very deserved and he got in there as well, but yeah I was a little bit flat early on, but I think I'm fine now, like obviously I didn't finish off last two games very well so sort of shot myself in the foot.

“At the end of the day, it's an individual award, and obviously we've got bigger fish to fry at the moment with finals and winning another Grand Final, which is way more important.”
But there are five who should consider themselves unlucky, including one of Lohmann's premiership teammates.

Brodie Grundy

Arguably the most deserving to miss out, but there's never been three genuine ruckmen selected in the All-Australian side.

Grundy copped the short straw, with Max Gawn and Luke Jackson picked ahead of him, but that shouldn't detract from his extraordinary season.

The Swans ruckman's ability to follow up is second to none in the role, averaging 20.5 disposals this year. His clearance game is career-best with 6.4 every week while his hit-outs to advantage, even with the new rules, have lifted to his Collingwood best.
