Many greats have towered over others in their dominance of the game across the decades of the AFL's history. Their lumbering presence has thrilled fans and, at times, dictated the outcome of games just by their massive presence alone.
With so few "giants" out there in the AFL landscape, how would you rank them amongst each other to find out who truly towers over all as the all-time greatest tall to ever play the game?
Here's my ranking of the top 10 tall players to ever play the game. The criteria for the list is simple: to qualify, a player must be 205cm and over.
8Oscar McInerney (205cm)
The 2025 Brisbane premiership player was a stable force of hit-out consistency during the Lions' years of finals contention. Though he would miss out of the 2024 Grand Final with an injury during his best year, "The Big O" was always counted on to orchestrate countless clearance opportunities for a stacked Brisbane Lions midfield across his 165 games at the club.
