It's that time again to take a lighter look into yet another big week of AFL.
Here's what's happened this week.
Trade Periodย
The AFL trade period is over for another year and fans appeared to be less than impressed with what unfolded.
After the Grand Final many AFL supporters look forward to the prospect of an exciting trade period as clubs are zeroing in on making the big decisions ahead of the 2022 season. However, many fans are calling this year's trade period a snooze fest on social media.
Take a look below to see how they responded.
The trade period is ten days long and some suggested on social media that it is perhaps too much time for clubs to make the big decisions.

As @tim_mitchell has suggested below on Twitter, maybe a two hour trade period would get things rolling a bit quicker and provide the excitement footy fans crave post footy season.
Here's what fans had to say...
What if we just made trade period two hours next year? #afltrade

Clubs slow off the mark ๐คทโโ๏ธย
The first club that comes to mind... Hawthorn!
Many people have taken to social media to slam Hawthorn's trade period, especially because the club only made three moves, and were hoping for a better draft hand and according to the Herald Sunย newly appointed coach Sam Mitchell was "shopping" experienced players around.ย ย
However, with many developing young players and the deal with Collingwood gun Max Lynch, the Hawks are still set to soar high in 2022 according to some.
Day,DGB, Cj,Bramble, Newcombe, Scrimshaw, Brockman and 3 picks inside 25 coming. Remember it was the end of the world when we appointed a no name called Clarkson Q?

Clarko not leaving footy that easily ๐ย
Although Alastair Clarkson has emphatically denied all rumours and offers to coach next year, including Carlton's top job, the star coach will return to footy in a new role.
Clarkson will take on an advisory position with the bid team for Tasmania's push to license its own AFL club.
Heres what Drizzy Drake had to say about it ๐

Tigers where are you...?
Losing both Callum Coleman-Jones and Mabior Chol was tough news for Richmond fans and the Tigers remained quiet throughout the rest of the trade period. However come draft night, the Tigers are in a mighty fine position based on the picks at their disposal.

Like the Tigers, the Bombers remained quiet during the trade period and failed to bring in Giants forward, Bobby Hill, who requested a move to Victoria for family reasons.
Essendon did acquire defender, Jake Kelly, from Adelaide as an unrestricted free agent.

Bartel's local footy brainchild
Local footy has had a rough run over the past two years and former Geelong star Jimmy Bartel suggested on 3AWisfootballย that scrapping Saturday afternoon AFL matches for six weeks will encourage more people to attend local footy.
There was a mixed response from fans on Twitter with some warming to the suggestion, whilst others rejected the entire idea.
Take a look below to see what people thought ๐ญ
That will be enough from you thanks Jim

Excellent idea Jim.
Clubs can have AFL Saturday twighlight game on screen for when local stuff finished, punters can stick around and put some money over the bar— Chook Pen (aka moot button)๐๐๐๐ (@cheerscobberta) October 12, 2021
Footy's Instagram Stars
Tiger's star Dustin Martin has long reigned as footy's king of Instagram, but now his social media crown has been stolen by young Dog, Bailey Smith, who is now the most followed football player in Australia with 339k followers - surpassing Dusty on 338k.
Bailey Smith is in the third year of his AFL football career and made a name for himself during the Western Bulldogs' Finals campaign. The 20-year old is an exciting talent that Bulldogs fans can continue to get excited about.
