There was interesting scenes down at Kardinia Park on Friday night at the quarter time break of Geelong's clash with Brisbane.

Lions defender Harris Andrews and Cats coach Chris Scott shared words at at the break, with some of the action caught on camera.

The incident was proceeded by a Gary Rohan high shot on Brownlow medalist Lachie Neale, which drew the ire of Scott.

According to AFL Media's Damien Barrett, Neale said something to Scott at the quarter time break which sparked the Geelong coach to bite back and eventually be dragged away by Cameron Guthrie and Joel Selwood.

Scott reportedly questioned whether Neale had maybe gone down too easy after he was struck by Rohan which caught the ear of defender Harris Andrews.

Andrews reportedly responded to Scott's claims with a brutal sledge. It is reported by Barrett that Andrews ("or someone close to Andrews") said to Scott “not as soft as you pricks in the Grand Final”.

Scott spoke after the game about the incident and said there wasn't too much to the incident.

“I was walking onto the ground and Lachie Neale just said to me something like — I couldn’t understand exactly what he said — but something about Gary Rohan,” Scott said.

“And I said, ‘I’m happy to have the conversation with you if you like. I’ve seen the vision and I’m comfortable with it.’

“I suspect he didn’t hear all of that. That’s all that was said.

“I think a few of them, they weren’t paying me compliments. I didn’t say anything after that.”

According to The Herald Sun's Jon Ralph, Lions skipper Dayne Zorko has denied the quotes attributed to Andrews.

“What has come out today in regards to Harris, that's news to Harris & news to a lot of us. Nothing like that was said. You could see the passion in both teams," Zorko said.
