St Kilda veteran Brad Hill has locked away another three years at the Saints after signing on ahead of his 250th match.

The hard-running winger is enjoying his best season at the Saints since he joined the club as a high-profile recruit on a lucrative deal ahead of the 2020 season.

He will extend his stay at Moorabbin until at least the end of 2027.

Hill is averaging the most disposals, marks, goals and score involvements of any season with the Saints, having gradually improved with each year at the club.

Often criticised externally for allegedly not fulfilling the lucrative deal he signed with the Saints, he is internally recognised as one of the most reliable ball-users and hardest runners at St Kilda - the player trusted the most with ball in hand.

He will reach the illustrious milestone of 250 AFL matches this weekend against West Coast, becoming just the 17th Indigenous player to achieve such a feat.

“Bradley brings an enormous amount of leadership, speed and skill to our side. We're very happy to have him commit to three more years at the club,” Executive General Manager of Football David Misson said.

“His ability to provide high-quality performances, week in, week out and always play his role for the team is what we love about Brad.”

Hill has spent the majority of his career in successful environments, enjoying Hawthorn's three-peat from 2013-2015 before becoming one of Fremantle's more prolific ball-winners during his stay from 2017-2019.

“I'm very happy to continue my time at Moorabbin,” Hill said.

“I've been at the club for a few years now and am committed as ever to doing all I can to see us succeed.

“The more my career has gone on, I've tried to embrace my position as a leader and help drive us forward.

“I really believe in the direction we're headed and am keen to play my role in getting us there.”

Hill was drafted to the Hawks via pick No.33 in the 2011 national draft, quickly becoming a triple premiership champion during his five-year tenure at the club.
