North Melbourne phenom Jason Horne-Francis has been charged with striking by the Match Review Officer, resulting in a two-game suspension.

The incident in question occurred in the third quarter of Sunday's match between the Kangaroos and Giants, with a swinging arm from Horne-Francis collecting GWS star Josh Kelly high.

The MRO deemed Horne-Francis' actions as intentional Conduct, Medium Impact and High Contact, resulting in the ban.

The club have accepted the two-week suspension, meaning that the talented teenager miss North Melbourne's upcoming clashes with Adelaide and Geelong, with the Kangaroos scheduled for their bye in Round 14.

Meanwhile, North Melbourne have also accepted a one-week ban offered to Lachie Young, with the MRO charging the North Melbourne defender with rough conduct.

The incident with Giant Matt de Boer, which occurred during the third term of Sunday's action, was graded as Careless Conduct, Medium Impact and High Contact.

Giants pair Jake Stein (rough conduct) and Harry Himmelberg (striking) were also handed $2000 and $1500 fines respectively.
