A rival club in its premiership window have reportedly offered a two-year deal to Adelaide Crows veteran Taylor Walker.

Walker is eligible for free agency this season, with the 32-year-old drafted by Adelaide back in 2007.

Speaking on Triple M Breakfast, Chris Dittmar stated that a contending club have tabled an offer to the Adelaide forward.

"I can tell you there‘s a club chasing Tex Walker right now, two-year deal," Dittmar said.

"I’ve got this from a reliable source, I’ve got this from the right place.

"There’s a club in the premiership window...because they need a big marking forward like him, they think, to get over the line."

The report comes off Walker's six-match ban due to a racist comment made last year. Seven games into his return, Walker leads the Crows' goalkicking with 18 goals.

Prior to his suspension, the spearhead was in stellar form, with his output since returning continuing that.

Crows football director Mark Ricciuto said he wasn’t aware of the offer.

"If your reaction is that you think it’s accurate, I’ll be on the phone as soon as this bloody break is over," Ricciuto said.

Walker will miss this week's game against Geelong due to COVID protocols, with the Cats hosting Adelaide at GMHBA on Saturday at 1.45pm AEST.
